When we’re looking at the best mattress for sex, it’s hard to beat the coil-based design of DreamCloud. We use the following scores, plugged into the formula, to derive a sex score for each mattress. Some of the most important factors to sex performance include bounce, edge support, noise, pressure relief, and cooling. The Nectar Premier Copperis a little less with only 5.14″ of bounce.Īcross all mattresses we’ve tested to date the average bounce is 9.48″. The Nectar Premierand DreamCloud Premier Rest fall in between these numbers with around 7″ of bounce. The DreamCloud has a bounce range of 11.20″. This is almost 1/3 the amount of bounce on the DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid(the mattress with the greatest bounce range in this comparison). The mattress with the least amount of bounce is the Nectar Original at 4.76″. The combination of those two numbers equals the bounce range. Bounce Testįor this test, we drop a weighted medicine ball on the mattress and track how much the ball sinks down and rebounds back up. Looking at bounce is a bit of a preferential factor, but the data below does help to show a good picture of the performance of each mattress. Nectar is pretty similar on some mattresses and vastly different on other mattresses. The graphs below show a quantifiable version of motion transfer based on accelerometer data. The average amount of motion transfer across all mattresses tested to date is 5.89 m/s² so all Nectar and DreamCloud mattresses are better than average. The original DreamCloudcomes in at 5.60 m/s² and the DreamCloud Premier is 5.67 m/s². That said, the levels of the original DreamCloud and DreamCloud Premier are about twice the level of Nectar. The DreamCloud Premier Rest has low levels that essentially match the levels on the Nectar original (2.62 m/s² on the Premier Rest). In fact, it is the 2nd lowest motion transfer of all mattresses we’ve tested to date. The Nectar Premier Copper is incredibly low. The original Nectar mattress falls between these two at 2.67 m/s².
